F***!!!!

Oh, my Gott! I tried to submit a msg yesterday and both times it went into my own blog, not the main one. So I gave up.
I've been having the most hectic days yesterday and today with work. A trip I spent over a month organizing and rescheduling and changing and calling got cancelled at the last minute! I'm so annoyed.
Plus, I haven't talked to my husband since Saturday.

Slow Burn

A little crazed here after 4 days away in luxury. But now the conversation can begin.

Not-So-Manic Monday

Well, you'll all be pleased to know that I had spent a lovely, peaceful DATE-FREE weekend. Friday, I left work early cuz I felt yukky and later stopped by a friend, Amber's, b'day party a few blks away. I spent some time chatting w/ a cute boy named Vito. How hot would that be to have a boyfriend named Vito!?! Amber is gonna investigate further for me. Saturday, Len came to town and we joined the gang at El Azteca for a lovely evening. It's so nice to see Chris and Bobbsey in Manhattan on a weekend (dressed as lesbeterians, as they always do on the weekends). Len and I hit a late show of CAPOTE. He really does deserve Best Actor. I loved Heath Ledger too, but the scope of this role is larger.Yesterday, I went to church, as always, and Billy Porter sang! I missed the explanation about how we got him there, but it was cool. Len and I went to the Guggenheim to see this Russian exhibition, only to find out, after wandering around for a while, that that exhibition had closed a few weeks ago! So, I bought a new Jennifer Convertible loveseat sofabed for my studio. So, Dene and Kirk, you can have a new place to sleep that's not on the ground next time you come. Of course, it's only a twin bed so, Jaime will have to sleep on the floor still! LOL. But when I sat in this loveseat....oh my GOD...soooooooo comfy, like sitting on a cloud. I figure I spend half my life on it watching TV so I should have something comfy. This is the first time ever buying a major piece of furniture like this (as opposed to finding it on the street!). I'm gonna live on it.Desperate Housewives was EXCELLENT last night! They got their mojo back!

ah, the theatre!

I saw Terrence McNally's latest last night. What a wonderful piece of theatre. Marian Seldes steals the show as always. It's all about the theatre, the joy and pain, etc. Alison Fraser also starred and she will be starring in the reading of my new musical! I met her afterwards and she was lovely. I've loved her ever since March of the Falsettos and The Secret Garden! And now she'll be singing my music! It amazes me how these B'way names will willingly and enthusiastically do these readings when they know nothing about it! I'm flabbergasted, but delighted.
Darrow, did you chat w/ multiple-award winner Shirley Knight when you dropped off your screenplay? Didja talk about Desperate Housewives?
Dene, how are ur screenplays coming?
Chris, what are you directing next?
Bob, how did your gig go last night?
Kirk, are you still doing improv, even tho ur not the Artistic Director?

Toasty and Toasted

Good morning one and all
My first blog!
Well, a wonderful time was had by all at the Brewster Bar-B-Q. Chris and BobZ were wonderful hosts as always. I ate a little and drank alot. So much so that I had to take 2 aspirin before bed and then again in the middle of the night!
Bob L sunk to new lows working it hard with the neighbor's 7-year-old child. The party looked on aghast as the two canoodled and whispered and ran off to secret rendezvous.
I had a lovely facial yesterday, a few more happy hour cocktails, a little CD shopping. Nice.
Also, happily, I got three days of tanning in!
How is the rest of Caftanland doing?
